This statement is made on behalf of APG Cash Drawer Ltd (APG) pursuant to section 54(1) of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 (the ‘Act’), and constitutes our group’s slavery and human trafficking statement for the year ending 31 December 2020.
OUR BUSINESS AND STRUCTURE
APG buys and manufactures cash drawers for distributers and resellers worldwide. We are headquartered in Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA and have registered offices and branches in the UK, France, Belgium, Spain and Germany.
OUR SUPPLY CHAINS
Our supply chains include cash drawers, sheet metal, fixings, electronic components, PCBs, cable assemblies, cardboard, packaging, publishing and printing services, IT services, training providers and consultants, marketing and PR services. We have reviewed the risks that these supply chains can present and whilst we consider our exposure to modern slavery to be limited, we expect our suppliers and contractors to demonstrate a zero-tolerance approach to exploitation.
As part of our procurement process in 2021, we are engaging in dialogue with our suppliers to raise awareness and seek assurance of their understanding of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and how it pertains to them. We will be reporting our findings in a statement at the end of the year.
OUR PROCUREMENT STAFF
We have informed and promoted to our procurement team that modern slavery is a global problem that affects us all. We have shared examples of how individuals can unwittingly be part of the cycle. We have highlighted that everyone has a vital role to play in tackling the issue.
