One Million

I often hear or even say the number One million and don’t think twice about it. It is often used as an exaggeration like, “I told you a million times…” or as a way to categorize a company by saying, “They are a $1 million dollar company.” But what is One million? What does it mean? What does it look like? Here are some fun ways to think about One million…

  • One Million Stacked high One million pennies stacked up would create a wall that is over 4 feet wide x 5 feet tall x 1 foot thick!
  • One million one dollar bills in a single stack would be approximately 358 feet high. If that stack was laid down, that would make it about the length of a regulation NFL football field…including the end zones!
  • One million APG Heavy Duty tills stacked up in one VERY tall stack would be over 37 miles high!
  • One million APG Series 4000 Cash Drawers (18 x 16 size) side by side would stretch out over 284 miles! That line of cash drawers could go from Las Vegas, NV all the way to the Grand Canyon!

Here at APG, we are very close to manufacturing our three millionth cash drawer!
